It’s Ten For Tuominen At Pacific Athletic Club Open

Finn Olli Tuominen marked up the tenth PSA World Tour title of his career at the Pacific Athletic Club Open after beating Canadian Shahier Razik in the final of the $22,500 event at the Pacific Athletic Club in Redwood City in the US state of California.

The 30-year-old from Helsinki dropped just one game en-route to his 15th Tour final, dismissing unexpected opponent Stephane Galifi, the No7 seed from Italy, in straight games in the semi-finals.

Second seed Razik celebrated his fourth successive appearance in a Tour semi-final in North America this month by beating defending champion Julian Illingworth, the No3 seed from New York, in a hard-fought 65-minute straight games encounter.

But top seed Tuominen was in control from the outset in the final, winning 11-7, 11-2, 12-10 in 58 minutes to secure his second trophy of the year after winning the Finnish Open on home soil last month for the third time.
